HOW DOES "The Conversational Egyptian" WORK?

You will start by learning the introductory phrases such as "How are you?" and "What's your name", and learn how to answer them by looking at the pattern of Egyptian grammar without focusing too much on it, so more speaking and less grammar. Each lesson we will add more phrases to our conversation. Our sentences will get more and more challenging, from "I go to work" to "I wake up early to go to work because I work from 9 in the morning to 6 in the evening every day."

What You'll Learn

After completing the Egyptian Academy, you will be able to have a basic conversation with a native speaker! You will be able to introduce yourself to friends, tell them what you do all week, and ask them to repeat or teach you anything you don't understand to keep the conversation going.

FAQ

  • Is this course right for me?

    If you're a beginner Egyptian Arabic learner interested in having conversations in Egyptian from day 1, then this course is perfect for you!

  • I don't know how to read Arabic, is it ok?

    Yes! No problem at all. I use Franco-Arabic; transliteration in all of my explanations, along with the Arabic script.

  • How long does it take to finish the course?

    You can finish this course at your own pace. I recommend one unit per week, so you can complete the course in a month.

  • What if I don't have time now?

    No worries! You have lifetime access to the course so you can go through it whenever you have time. Although you may only need to fit as little as 15 minutes a day to master your Egyptian.

  • I'm intermediate, will this still be useful?

    The answer is: Probably not. This course is structured to learn Egyptian Arabic from scratch.

  • What's included in the Course?

    The course consists of 4 Units with 12 video lectures. You will also get a PDF supplement to each unit and quizzes along the way.
